kaya
Kaya Village (Ghost Village) - Kaya Village is approx 10 minutes drive from the Jasmine Garden Apartments. This Greek village was abandoned after the Turkish and Greek governments signed a 'population exchange' agreement in 1922. Over 1500 deserted homes and a whole array of other establishments that once supported a whole community still remain. Exploring the site via worn pathways weaving between houses and churches is a truly wonderful experience that is not to be missed!tombs.jpg

The most important and famous rock tomb is that of King Amyntas which is situated on the hills overlooking the Fethiye port. Also, beside the harbour is a Roman amphitheatre and the crumbling remains of a medieval castle built by the Knights of St John.
